If you go by what the Yes Bank administrator, Prashant Kumar, has been saying, the moratorium on Yes Bank could end as early as Saturday. However, SBI will have to bring in the capital for these curbs to be lifted. The administrator of Yes Bank acknowledged that they were working on a fast resolution mechanism and the moratorium could be lifted as early as Saturday. An early lifting of the moratorium will come as a relief to depositors facing restrictions on withdrawing money from Yes Bank. SBI has already acknowledged the gravity of the situation. Rajnish Kumar has said that the survival of Yes Bank was critical for the financial system. SBI will be investing Rs.2,450 crore immediately and that will be later scaled up to Rs.10,000 crore. Currently, there is a restriction on withdrawals up to Rs.50,000 per depositor till 03 April.
