Bill Gates has stepped down from the board on Friday to focus on philanthropic works pertaining to global health, education and climate change. These will leave Gates and his wife Melinda to focus their entire time on the Melinda and Gates Foundation; one of the largest charities in the world. Since 2014, Gates has already handed over operational leadership to Satya Nadella. Now Gates will step down from the public boards of Microsoft and Berkshire Hathaway. With MSFT on autopilot, Gates will dedicate more time to global health and development, education and tackling climate change.
