Loan against securities (LAS) allows a borrower to get finance against a wide variety of securities.

A security is any financial asset that is tradeable. It commonly refers to any form of financial instrument such as stocks, bonds and debentures, forwards, futures, options, swaps, etc.

The eligibility criteria for a loan against securities/shares (LAS):

- Resident Indians and NRIs above the age of 18 are eligible for a loan against mutual funds

- Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs), sole proprietorships, partnership firms, private limited companies, etc. are eligible for a loan against debt mutual funds.

- Resident Indians are also eligible for a loan against a life insurance policy
