Typically your broker will insist that you pay the money upfront before placing orders. Alternatively, you can just pay a margin and trade in case you are trading purely for intraday basis. For delivery, you have to either pay upfront or you must ensure that you submit the valid DIS to your broker before 10 AM the next day. However, if you have a good relation with the broker, they may allow you to pay by end of the day. Remember, the broker has to pay-in to the exchange by next day morning and hence he will require the funds latest by end of the day or by early next day morning. In case of demat credit the shares will directly come into your account within 3 working days of the transaction. Normally, if there are no objections or there is no auction delivery, then you can get the shares credited to your demat account by end of T+2 day.
