A credit card’s billing period is 30 days and a user’s bill will be generated closer to the end of the 30 days. The credit card bill has both the total amount due as well as the due date mentioned. All credit card companies give their users a grace period, until when they can repay their dues.

However, if a user fails to repay the bill amount beyond the grace period then the user will accrue interest on his/her total repayment amount.

Do note, however, that the same holds true even if you pay the minimum amount due. The resultant amount, that is total amount minus minimum amount, will attract interest if you do not pay by the repayment date.
