The first thing you must do is figure out whether your mutual fund investment is for the long term or short term.

If your investment horizon is the long term, then ignore the performance and stay invested because mutual funds often do well in the latter part of investment cycle.

However, if you have made your investments from a short-term point of view, then you might want to restructure your portfolio either by adding more units at lower prices and average your holding price so you can exit from your mutual funds when you are making decent gains in the short term. If you are a medium to long term investor then you should stay on course and keep investing via SIP mode. Wealth creation is a process which takes place over the years and one should remain invested even if the market witnesses’ major downswings.
