Paytm recently announced the introduction of the recurring feature for its merchants which enables subscription-based businesses to collect payments. According to this feature, Merchant can do recurring payments for their users through Paytm gateway. This feature for the individual user means that you have now only allowed the merchants to collect recurring payments for bill payments, monthly rentals, and content subscriptions.

Paytm launched “My Payments” feature for users, wherein users were able to pay recurring payments with just simple set-up accounts by the user. But now with Recurring Payment Options, Merchants with Paytm can accept payments from their consumers can opt for recurring payments as well.

Even individual users can now activate this service not only from Paytm wallet, but also their bank accounts, debit cards, credit cards, net banking and more.

Below are the ways you can this new service:

  • Bill Payments like telephone bills, mobile post-paid invoices, DTH/Cable monthly payment which is repeated every month. So the user will need to do set up the recurring payment, and then forget about it.
  • Monthly rentals amounts like home rent, shop rent, EMIs, are mostly the same so this will be deducted every month as per the instructions.
  • Content Subscription like online newspapers, magazines, digital apps, etc. Those merchants with paytm will be able to able to collect recurring subscription.
