The numbers are actually adding up quickly as 492 Coronavirus cases have been reported positive in India as of 24 March. The total number of Coronavirus cases rose to 492, including 446 active cases. The figure includes 41 foreign nationals and the 10 deaths reported so far. If you see state-wise, Kerala is worst hit with 95 confirmed cases followed by Maharashtra with 87 cases. Telangana and Delhi with over 30 cases are also badly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The hope is that the momentum does not pick up rapidly as it happened in Italy and Spain in the latter half of the epidemic. Thirty states and Union territories declared a lockdown by late evening on Monday. The impact on the economy could be huge but that is a different matter altogether.
