It is a specific division of banking which is related to the creation of capital for other companies, governments, and other entities. Investment banks help all types of corporations underwriting new debt and equity securities. Help these corporations to sell their securities and facilitate merger and acquisitions, reorganizations and broker trades for both institutions and private investors. These banks also provide guidance regarding the issue and placement of stock. There are many large investment banking units that are subsidiaries of banking institutions or are affiliated with those with banking institutions.

All these banking units require Investment Bankers who are professionals facilitating the services of these banking units.
