FPO (Follow on Public Offer)is the process through which a company raises funds via issues new shares to the investors or the existing shareholders, usually the promoters. Only listed companies can avail FPO. Through FPO company can make more of its shares available to the public or raise capital to expand or pay off its debt.

A stock simply means an ownership certificate of any company. Once you buy a particular stake in the company, you will get the stock certificate by them. You are then called as a shareholder of that particular. Similarly, you can have the ownership of one or more companies as far as you have funds to purchase stakes.
