The interest-free introductory period that a user gets when transferring balance from one credit card/multiple credit cards to another is called the grace or buffer period. Once this interest-free introductory period or buffer period (usually 3-6 months) gets over, the amount that’s transferred will attract the new credit card’s interest rate.

The remaining amount, or the amount that’s not transferred will attract the same rate of interest as it would previously.
