A unit of Tata Power, TPGEL, received a letter of award to develop a 225 megawatt hybrid renewable project. The energy from the renewable project will be supplied to Tata Power Mumbai Distribution under a PPA valid for 25 years. Project will be commissioned within 18 months from the date of execution of the power purchase agreement or PPA.

The plant is expected to generate 700 million units of energy annually and will offset about 700 million kg of carbon dioxide each year. This will increase Tata Power’s renewable capacity to 3,782 MW.
