That is absolutely correct. In fact, the MP Birla sponsored Birla Corporation proposes to double cement capacity from 15.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 30 million MTPA by 2027. In the first let, the commissioning of its 3.9 MTPA plant at Mukutban near Nagpur will enhance its capacity to 20 MTPA by end of 2021 with the new plants more efficient and profitable. Birla Corp expects demand for cement to get a boost from infrastructure thrust.
