Yes, this is absolutely true. One can put a limit on the maximum transaction one wants to be conducted form his/her credit or debit cards.

Let’s say you want to limit your transaction to Rs 5,000 or Rs 10,000 every time you swipe, you have the option to do so. You can set this limit through your card issuer.

Most banks allow their customers to change the transaction limit on their credit/debit card via net banking.

One must log in to their net banking accounts, go to the card option and enter the card details for the card that he/she wishes to set/change the transaction limit for. Once you provide the details, the bank will set the limit and inform you if the next transaction is above the limit.
