You do not have to worry about that. Your shares will be with one of the institution sponsored companies; NSDL or CDSL. Your shares are absolutely safe there. When SEBI bans a depository participant (DP) from undertaking business, you will have the option to change your DP. In the meanwhile, your shares are with either NSDL or CDSL and are absolutely safe. You do not need to worry about that.
