After helping the migrants during the Covid 19 situation, the actor Sonu Sood was launched in to the spotlight. He created an app called Pravasi Rojgar with the help of Schoolnet India. The purpose of this app was to create job opportunities for these migrants to find jobs.
Singaporee based company GoodWorker joined forces by providing Pravasi Rojgar with a funding of Rs.250 crore. With this joint venture between GoodWorker and Pravasi Rojgar, the simple job matching platform will hopefully expand to something more. There are plans to build skills through the app to better employment opportunities, but it may come at a fee. Employers listed on the app will have to pay a fee, while job seekers can access it freely. The final product is to be launched next year.
