Yes, you can invest in stocks listed in different countries.
The ways to invest in foreign stocks are:
- Open a trading account with an Indian broker that has tied up with a foreign broker. Please note, there are many brokers in India, but very few offer overseas trading. A few of these brokers are: India Infoline, Kotak Securities, ICICI Direct, Reliance Money and Religare.
- Alternatively, you can open a trading account with a foreign broker that allows you to set up an account and trade in US stocks and mutual funds
- Certain mutual funds/ETFs based in India invest in international markets. So, by investing in these mutual funds/ETFs, you get exposure to foreign markets.
