The Civil Aviation Ministry has issued fresh guidelines allowing airline companies to operate from May 25 onwards. Minister, Hardeep Singh Suri, confirmed that there would be a detailed note on the subject. The Ministry is issuing a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the same. Currently, two of the busiest airports in India; Delhi and Mumbai, fall in the Red Zone. However, flights will be permitted on these routes too. Most airlines will not be keen to operate their flights if Mumbai and Delhi are not part of the route map. One will have to await protocols and social distancing norms. But sentimentally, this move should definitely be positive for the markets in general and aviation stocks in particular.
