How to purchase shares offline and how to purchase shares online? Online trading is all about buying and selling shares on the internet sitting in the comfort of your office or your home. You just need to log into your trading account and you can buy and sell shares. An internet trading account is secured by a username, password and the second level of authentication. If you input anything wrong then the trading account gets locked. You can place the order from a computer, laptop, smartphone or even a notepad. Alternatively, you can also download the app on to your phone and use the app to place orders.
Offline trading is trading by visiting your broker’s office or by telephoning your broker. Here you typically call up your dealer at the branch or the franchise and get the trade confirmation on the phone itself. Alternatively, you can also visit the nearest branch and place orders with the dealer who is designated to put your orders. There is also something called a call and trade facility wherein you can use offline as a back-up in case the online system does not work.
