Godrej Agrovet reported 29.65% increase in net profit at Rs.100.59 crore in the Jun-20 quarter as the food business saw good traction in the middle of tough times. However, overall total income fell by 8.78% at Rs.1,562 crore in the Jun-20 quarter. This was achieved by a 10.5% fall in expenses at Rs.1438 crore on a YOY basis.

Godrej Agrovet operates in the area of animal feed, poultry, crop protection, dairy and vegetable oils. Most of its business lines are contingent on rural income levels. Now, rural India has seen less impact of COVID and also have benefited from a number of measures taken by the government to boost rural demand and rural income levels.
