Mindspace REITs IPO opens on 27 July and closes on 29 July. Out of the total issue size of Rs.4500 crore, anchor investors have already taken 1587 crore and strategic investors are lined up for another Rs.1125 crore. That means, the book is 60% full. As an investment class, the institutional appetite for the IPO is expected to be quit robust.

The presence of names like Government of Singapore, MAS and Fidelity will give a lot of confidence to global investors. For retail, the experience of Embassy has been fairly good in terms of returns and that will be positive. Mindspace REITs derives 76% of its income from properties in Mumbai and Hyderabad Mindspace does provide a good avenue for investors to diversify their portfolios with an exposure to commercial real estate.
