For the trading week ended on 10 July, 6 out of the 10 most valuable companies on the NSE in terms of market cap added Rs.103,625 crore of value. Reliance Industries accounted for more than 50% of these gains and added over Rs.57,000 crore during the week. Index overall was just up by 1.6% during the week and the performance was more mixed.

The big heavy weights in the market like Reliance Industries, TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys and HDFC ended with gains for the week. Conversely, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Bank, ITC and ICICI Bank ended the week with losses. RIL retains the spot of being the most valuable Indian company followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Infosys.
