There are different ways to look at the size of a company so let us look at the most comparable way which is by market capitalization. With the market capitalization of Reliance Industries crossing $150 billion, it has now emerged as the 60th most valuable company in the world.

What this means is that now Reliance Industries is more valuable than companies like Astra Zeneca of UK, Unilever, Royal Dutch Shell Petroleum, British Petroleum and McDonalds after the RIL stock price doubled in less than 3 months. RIL is also in the process of becoming zero net-debt by March next year and this should be an added boost for the valuation.

Reliance has successfully monetized its holdings in Jio Platforms, the digital arm that is yet to be listed but is now valued at $65 billion. Globally, Saudi Aramco remains the most valuable company with a market cap of $1.75 trillion following by Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Google in that order. This is the highest an Indian company has ever reached.
