There are a number of mutual funds that invest in companies outside India. For investments in US-focused mutual funds in India, there is no limit for Indian residents as investments are made in India. You can invest in International mutual funds or the International Fund of Funds and invest in INR in India only. You can invest indirectly there but you will never know if your money went in Tesla or SpaceX. This is because the mutual funds disclose only their top 10 holdings.

However, this is probably the safest and hassle-free option available as you need not open an Overseas trading account plus you will save the minimum deposit roughly $10,000.

Here are few popular mutual funds who trade in the global market-
ICICI Pru US Bluechip Equity – D (G),
Motilal MOSt Oswal NASDAQ 100 ETF,
Reliance US Equity Opp. Fund DP (G),
Edelweiss Greater China Eqty-Direct and
Kotak US Equity Fund – Direct (G).
Franklin India Feeder – Franklin U.S. Opportunities Fund
DSP BlackRock US Flexible Equity Fund
