HDFC Hybrid Equity Fund is an equity-oriented fund that is mandated to invest at least 65% of the corpus in equity and equity-related instruments and the rest in debt and money market instruments. At any point in time, the fund allocates 20%-35% of the total corpus in debt and money market instruments. The key objective of such funds is to generate risk-adjusted long term capital gains by changing asset allocation between equity and debt securities.
