Think and Learn, the owner of Byju’s learning platform, will invest $300 million in an all-cash offer to acquire WhiteHat Jr. Byju’s had recently closed a round of funding from Bond Capital. Whitehat Jr. is already valued at $350 million and is in discussions with Sequoia and Multiples. It is at this time that the latest offer has come from Byju’s.

WhiteHat Jr was founded by Karan Bajaj of Discovery Networks and it uses animations and apps to teach students the fundamentals of coding. Whitehad Jr has developed a proprietary coding curriculum and imparts lessons through interactive online classes. However, there is no commitment from Whitehat and they are looking at multiple options.

Byju’s is also in negotiations to acquire Doubtnut, a two-year-old learning app, for $150 million. Byju’s is already valued at $10.5 billion and is using its equity as currency for inorganic acquisitions. Byju’s counts among its investors big names like Tiger Global, General Atlantic, Naspers, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
